IPromise is a software as a service (SaaS) tool that provides online business payment solutions. It provides an easy way for businesses and their customers to undertake jobs and provide services, with a payment guarantee once the job or service has been completed.
We love to see businesses succeed and are committed to supporting local businesses to become more productive and efficient while providing an amazing service to their customers. We also love to see customers using IPromise for fantastic project outcomes, delivered through secure payments, delivered by the hard work of our IPromise users.
Simply put, the genesis of our software solution is to provide secure, protected payments and reduce unnecessary administration time. That gives you the ability to focus on the task at hand, and free up more of your time to pursue the things you love.
We hate to see businesses spending unnecessary time on administrative tasks (like chasing invoices, or managing projects across multiple platforms), losing out on business opportunities, waiting for payments for completed work, or worse – not receiving payment at all. We also hate to see customers unsatisfied with the job delivered, or a job only half done.
Our solution is built to address these problems, and more.
How It Started
IPromise was founded by Matt Peacock and Paul Verić, two professionals who are passionate about enabling small businesses to get paid immediately (when the agreed job is done) and doing business in a transparent way.
After many years in business environments, Matt and Paul both recognised recurring issues that arose with the high trust service model in New Zealand, and thought that there must be a better way. They set out with the goal of eliminating the hassle of payments while reducing bad debt and improving cash flow, particularly in the service industry. Introducing… IPromise.
Our People

Co-Founder
Matt is a respected Civil Engineer and has intimate knowledge of the construction industry through his 20+ years practising engineering (including being a Director of his own engineering firm for 17+ years).
He has also invented and commercialised his own engineering products.
His motivations for IPromise are borne out of his own frustrations and those of the hundreds of businesses and customers he has interacted with. He has experienced (first-hand) the hours of wasted administration time and he has personally lost tens of thousands of dollars as a result of the non-payment of his invoices.
Matt is determined to resolve the archaic payment landscape that simply isn’t working, for not only engineers, but other businesses who invoice and patiently wait for payment.
Paul Verić BED, BLS, Dip T
Co-Founder
Paul has Senior Management and CEO experience across multiple and diverse sectors including education, technology, manufacturing and not-for-profit sectors.
He was the former Principal of the prestigious New Plymouth Boys’ High School. And a previous Board member of a DHB, Community Board and governor of various not-for-profits.
Change management and strategy are his more recent consulting strengths and he likes nothing more than solving problems and fixing broken and inefficient processes.
Being a proven leader across diverse settings brings breadth and experience to solving this overdue payment problem!
